On my first Tress Trix Q&A with Ms. Heather, the brains behind the Hair Chaos line, I immediately knew what to ask:
How does she achieve the rockin' rockabilly bump that we all see in so many of her Hair Chaos Accessories modeling pictures?
Her answer was simple: Product & Techniques
First, we have to start at the showering phase. Her advice: "Don't use a lot of product." This means not shampooing everyday. If you're anything like me, then you know that not shampooing means having some greasy monstrosity the following day, right? Well her solution to this was easy. Find a texturizing dry shampoo, her favorite is Tigi Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo. A 6.3 oz bottle ranges between $11 - $18, depending on where you buy it.

Heather also mentioned that, when it comes to shampoo, cheap doesn't always mean better. The affordable products usually have ingredients that aren't the best for your hair. She recommends using professional products. What's her favorite, you ask? Halo Shampoo & Conditioner (a little pricey though at around $69 a set)or Tigi Beadhead Shampoo & Conditioner (more affordable at $30+ a set.
She also observed that most people end up with weighty hair because they over condition. Less conditioner means less weight. She provides another helpful tip: only condition from tip to about two inches above the scalp. She does not recommend conditioning the scalp because this causes build-up, which causes your tresses to get oilier faster.
